enigma Inc. and Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP) Form Capital and Business Alliance

enigma Inc. has entered into a capital and business alliance with Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. (DNP) to strengthen its integrated support system for planning, production, and operation of immersive spaces. By combining enigma’s expertise in digital experience design with DNP’s extensive knowledge of spatial planning and management, the two companies will collaborate to create new experiential value across cultural facilities, commercial spaces, and corporate showrooms. 

Background

In recent years, demand has grown for immersive exhibitions and interactive experiences using video and sensor technologies in world expos, museums, commercial facilities, and corporate showrooms.Beyond traditional one-way information displays, interactive exhibitions that respond to visitors’ movements and actions are becoming more common.Furthermore, analyzing visitor and content usage data to improve exhibition content and enhance the overall experience has become increasingly important.

To meet these needs, enigma and DNP will strengthen their end-to-end support system—from planning and design to production, construction, operation, and data utilization.

DNP has supported diverse spatial projects since the 1970 Osaka Expo, where it produced nine pavilions, and continues to assist in creating corporate museums and showrooms.Through this alliance, enigma will expand the reach of its digital production capabilities, offering solutions that enhance the experiential value of exhibition spaces.

Key Initiatives

1. Integrated Support for Immersive Space Design and Operation

enigma will combine its digital production technology with DNP’s spatial expertise to develop next-generation exhibition content and facilities. Together, the companies will establish a joint development framework, evolving their planning capabilities into a comprehensive service that includes construction and operation. By collecting and analyzing visitor and content usage data, they aim to continuously improve exhibition experiences and increase facility value. 

2. Co-developing Innovative Experience Production Methods

Creating immersive spaces requires a wide range of expertise—from creative direction to hardware, software, and programming. enigma and DNP will jointly systematize these elements and standardize processes from planning to operation, enabling efficient and stable delivery of high-quality immersive environments.

Future Outlook

Through this alliance, enigma will expand its experiential space solutions into new domains such as world expos, museums, showrooms, and corporate museums—projects that were previously difficult to undertake independently. The company also plans to apply these solutions to cultural heritage digitization and digital exhibition experiences, regional revitalization, education, and tourism, creating new business opportunities. enigma will continue to design and produce spaces that deliver memorable experiences through the power of digital technology.
